101 DAYS SHORE FISHING COMPETITION
Mallu Anglers ,ABUDHABI, one amongst the biggest south Indian fishing groups located in UAE, has won alot of fishing competitions with good records and has conducted a 101 days fishing competition for their members

OBJECTIVE
To help and to teach our newcomers how to fish with the artificial lures and jigs and also to improve the intermediate angler’s technical skills and knowledge.
The competition also serves as a great platform to spread awareness and educate people on sustainable fishing. The highlight of the tournament was “Catch and Release” which save the small / endangered fishes for future generations.
This competition was organized on the basis of very strict guidelines.
A seven-member expert committee was constituted to examine, evaluate and mark the catches of the contestants.
COMPETITION RULES
Excluding all the small fishes, only five species of fishes that have a certain weight and are easily found in UAE waters and are not under threat of extinction were taken into the competition category.
A full length video shoot from hooking the fish to landing was required and points were awarded to the contestants.

Tournamnet results and videos of each catch was shared in the mallu anglers website ( www.malluanglers.com) and in Instagram page on daily basis throughout the tournamnet.

A Big Event was conducted as
a part of closing ceremony with huge crowd including the sponsors and some special guests.
Kids coloring, dance, singing competition makes the event more attractive. South Indian famous Tug of War was the highlight of this event.

Trophies,fishing tackles and mementos were given to the first 10 winners and a special award was given to the angler with the heaviest catch of this tournament. Certificates and medals were given to all the participants who had registered.
Also mementos and certificates were given to all of our sponsors.
